Advanced Fusion Systems

Located in Newtown Connecticut the AFS facility consists of 243,000 ft.2 total, approximately 28,000 of office and 215,000 feet of manufacturing space. The building is on 25 acres and pre-approved for expansion. Additionally, adjacent abutting acreage is available to purchase not presently owned by AFS or the owner. The building is served by three power lines to serve other customers but the largest line is an express line with its own transformer at the substation with a capacity of about 17 MW. The total available capacity of the three lines is 30 MW. The building is completely wired to all areas with 14 kV distribution lines going to five internal substations in the facility. In addition there is an 10 MW generator driven to speed by an electric motor and equipped with a 15 ton flywheel that extends its operations through experiments that may be too disruptive for the utility service of the facility to accept.

The facility is easily accessible, being located alongside Route 84, a major northeast Interstate Highway.
